PACIFIC DUNES

Designed by Sydney-based architect James Wilcher, Pacific Dunes is an 18 hole a par-72 layout and is blanketed by exquisite Santa Ana couch fairways and pure Bentgrass greens. Pacific Dunes' outward nine is interwoven among natural lakes and wetlands, while the back nine meanders through shady Angophoras and Swamp Mahogany trees. Despite stretching to 6,403 metres from the tips, Pacific Dunes still manages to feature a collection of spectacular short par-4s, including two of less than 300 metres. You can't blame the wind on an off day because the layout has no predominant hole orientation. Carefully placed hazards, reduced potential for water carries and multiple teeing options coupled with generous fairway widths make it a course with varying degrees of difficulty for every level of golfer. Pacific Dunes is currently ranked No. 53 in Australia
